Back to the cold water…
I was only just home from the Caribbean, when Jorg and I visited Panheel for a good freedive-session. When we arrived the parking was quite deserted and we were wondering why… Our guess was that everybody would be in warmer waters and we got our gear and started freediving.
As we’ve been using our suunto D3’s for measuring depth, Jorg now has the DATA-transfer cable to gather the info from his and my watch. Finally we got some extra info now about the speed for ascend and descend. Here’s an example graph from a dive in panheel to 25m. My experience compared to the 25m dive I made during my holiday was definitively that the water was a slight bit colder ;). Of course this has effect on numerous factors, but it didn’t make the freediving unpleasant.
We had a laugh while we returned to the entrance-point by trying to jump out of the water like a dolphin. Amazingly I did manage to get out quite a bit, but we’ll have to make a picture of that then :). As we returned at the entrance point and got our suit and gear, we were amazed by the amount of cars standing in the parking lot… like really no spaces left anymore.
Good to be back in dutch waters, but the temperature thing has to settle a bit, hehe ![]()
